Centralizing Learning & Mentorship

Lucky Beards ongoing internal platform aims to centralize learning and mentoring opportunities within the company, recognizing the importance of continuous skill development and knowledge sharing. The platform will serve as a hub for hosting various learning resources and facilitating mentorship connections, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration among the teams. By providing access to a wide range of learning materials and enabling employees to seek guidance from experienced colleagues, they aim to empower their workforce and contribute to their organizational success.

My work

Gnius was handed over to me as a buckup project to complete while waiting for other work to come in. The designs were all over the place with 4 years of designers navigating in and out of the project. Dev and design were not aligned which resulted in the developers often taking the lead on design which resulted in an inconstant platform and an overall chaotic project. 

I cleaned up the files, sctructured the project as whole, created a design system and created screens for the platform that aligned with what was currently in development so that the screens could evolve from there and dev had clear instructions and guidelines on what to do next.

The biggest challenge was that the platform is white labeled and needed to be theme-abel in the most efficient manner possible. With the use of variables i was able to create a system that allowed a new theme to be applied within a matter of minutes compared to the hours it previously took to apply a new theme to the screens. 

Within this project i learned how to navigate and use variables like a pro, to streamline work processes and the overall importance of design/dev alignment.
